About the Women's Shelter "Pensionat Linnéa":

Linnéa is a drug-free emergency shelter for women. The shelter is centrally located in Gothenburg and has 26 places. We accept placements around the clock.

Linnéa is a shelter where we aim to support the residents in taking a step forward and moving on to a drug-free independent life. We work towards an increased sense of coherence, community, and positive routines in daily life.

We are now seeking a residential educator for a probationary period that, if everything goes well, leads to a permanent position. We have a vacant full-time position working evenings/nights with shifts between 14:00-10:00, including on-call sleep between 00:00-06:00. Work every other weekend. Start date - some flexibility.

The shelter is staffed around the clock, and during evenings, nights, and weekends, you work alone but with access to support through on-call availability.

Job Duties:

As a residential educator, job duties include supporting the women living at the shelter based on individual work plans/implementation plans and serving as a contact person for a number of them. Common tasks include assisting the woman with issues related to housing, agency contacts, contact with healthcare, taking urine samples, supportive conversations, etc.

The position also involves administrative tasks such as documentation in our record-keeping system Journala. You will be responsible for creating implementation plans, monthly reports, and summaries for those you are a contact person for.

It also includes household work to create a home-like environment for the resident women.

We are looking for you with a strong social drive and commitment to the target group, who wants to be involved in influencing people's lives for the better. You are calm and secure in yourself and can convey your calmness to others. Furthermore, you are structured, thorough, and pedagogical.

The work team is characterized by community, helpfulness, and care for each other. To fit in, it requires that you are honest, trustworthy, and both give and receive support.

Final candidates will need to provide extracts from the Criminal Records Register.
