Teaching Assistants in Quality Development

About the job

We are seeking approximately 1-4 hourly paid teaching assistants for the academic year 2026/2027, who, as needed and by agreement, will assist course-responsible teachers in quality development courses offered by the Division of Logistics & Quality Development. The tasks primarily involve assessing assignments but may also include lecture teaching, tutoring in calculation sessions, assisting with laboratories, seminar leadership, and exam grading for courses in quality development. The tasks may also include simpler forms of administration and coordination in undergraduate education as well as assistant duties in research projects.

About you

To be employed as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to higher education at the undergraduate or advanced level.

The employment is directly linked to the undergraduate courses in the area of quality development offered by the Division of Logistics & Quality Development at Linköping University. The employment may also be linked to the research projects conducted at the division. The tasks are varied and may arise with short notice, requiring flexibility and your availability at the university. You should also be responsible, thorough, and interested in the subject area. A requirement to obtain employment is that you can provide documentation that you are studying in the civil engineering program in industrial economics or mechanical engineering or another relevant education and have completed at least 60 credits at the undergraduate level or that you have begun your studies at the advanced level. You should also have taken one or more of the division's courses in quality development, preferably at the advanced level, with good academic results in these courses being meritorious. Teaching is primarily conducted in English, so good proficiency in both spoken and written English is a requirement. Good proficiency in Swedish is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you are studying at Linköping University and if you are available for assignments until and including January 2027.

Your workplace

The division is part of the Department of Economic and Industrial Development (IEI) and offers education in both the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The division has a large undergraduate education mission that includes teaching in engineering programs and standalone courses.

About the employment

The scope of the tasks and start time will be determined by agreement. Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.

Salary and benefits

Salary according to LiU's central agreement on teaching assistant salaries. The employment is hourly paid.
