Certified mathematics teacher for extra support in grades 4–9

Project employment 100% for one year, with possibility of extension

At Lemshaga Academy, we are now seeking a certified mathematics teacher who wants to work closely with students in grades 4–9 and contribute to more students experiencing understanding, security, and confidence in their own ability in mathematics. The position is a project employment at 100% for one year and can be extended if state funding is granted.

About the position

We are looking for you who want to work with extra support in mathematics for students in grades 4–9 who need to be strengthened in their learning. The assignment involves helping more students to understand, dare, persevere, and succeed.

You will work closely with students, teachers, and student health services and be an important part of the school's effort to develop more accessible and supportive mathematics teaching.

We are looking for you who:

  • are a certified teacher in mathematics
  • have good ability to meet students with different needs
  • are secure, clear, and relationship-building
  • can adapt teaching and support so that more students get the opportunity to succeed
  • see the value in working both close to students and in collaboration with colleagues
  • want to contribute to more students feeling: I can, I understand, and I dare to try

  • provide support to students in need of extra adaptations and reinforcement in mathematics in grades 4–9
  • work to increase students' security, motivation, and perseverance in the subject
  • collaborate with teaching teachers regarding students' needs and development
  • be part of the school's work with inclusion, accessible teaching, and students' confidence in their own ability
