Description

Do you want to work in an international environment with a clear pedagogical policy? We are looking for an engaged Home Economics teacher for grades 4-9 with teaching experience in these grades. The tasks include common teacher duties such as planning, teaching, grading, and follow-up. The Home Economics position is part-time at approximately 50% and permanent if you have a teacher certification. It can be combined with crafts to expand the position. We have a home economics room at the school and you will work together with another home economics teacher. As a home economics teacher, you have teacher education or comparable qualifications. We follow the Swedish curriculum. At our school, the focus is on learning and a calm environment where both students and staff follow the school's routines and rules. A pleasant atmosphere and good collaborative climate are key words behind our success and form the basis for creating a common thread that guides and supports our students through their schooling and helps them achieve their goals. IES Uppsala is a bilingual school where we work together in an international environment. You should therefore feel comfortable communicating with colleagues, students, and their families in both Swedish and English. Here you have the opportunity to work in a stimulating and rewarding environment, and we welcome all who are motivated and enthusiastic to submit your application for the chance to become part of our team! Recruitment is ongoing.

International English School (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

IES is one of Sweden's largest school groups at compulsory school level with 48 schools and around 32,000 students across the country. IES has grown steadily and maintained quality since 1993.

N.B. Prior to any offer of employment at IES, a criminal background check is required for all applicants. In Sweden, this is an extract from the criminal records register from the Police Authority and from abroad, this is a record extract from an equivalent police governing body.
