About the job

Do you want to be part of creating the school of the future? Become our new leisure-time teacher!

Ebba Pettersson's Private School – where tradition meets development

At Ebba Pettersson's Private School, you get the chance to be part of a historic school with a constant forward-looking vision. We are a non-profit F–9 school in Järnbrott with around 650 students and over 100 years of experience in shaping safe, curious, and proud children and young people.

Here, every school day is characterized by our strong values: safety, joy, engagement, development, and pride. We are now looking for you who are passionate about children's learning and want to help create a meaningful full-day activity where both school and leisure-time are woven together in a creative and thoughtful way.

Your role with us

As a leisure-time teacher or preschool teacher, you will be an important part of our lower elementary team. You work closely with colleagues in preschool class, school, and leisure-time center and plan, implement, and develop teaching together.

With us, you have the space to influence and contribute with your ideas. Together with two other leisure-time teachers in a work team for a grade level, you will be responsible for planning and carrying out activities in the leisure-time center based on Lgr 22.

We are looking for you who can create a safe and inspiring environment where the students' needs are at the center. You see the big picture, are solution-focused, and have a big heart for children's development and well-being – both in the classroom and on the schoolyard.

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a certified leisure-time teacher or preschool teacher, trained leisure-time educator, or leisure-time leader with extensive experience working with younger school-aged children.
  • Have several years of experience working in school/leisure-time settings
  • Are a clear and warm leader with good collaboration skills
  • Communicate confidently and clearly with students, colleagues, and guardians
  • Have a creative drive – preferably in music, drama, creative arts, or outdoor education

Do you enjoy being creative, moving, building, or being out in nature?

Great! We would love for you to contribute with your interests and develop our activities through your strengths.

What you get with us:

  • A safe and well-organized work environment with strong collegial support that clearly works for the students' best interests
  • Opportunity to be part of an engaged and forward-looking school culture
  • A workplace that puts relationships, joy, and the student's best interests at the center

Employment:

Permanent, 100%, with a 6-month probationary period. Start in August 2026 or as agreed.
