Your duties
The position involves research in neurotechnology with a focus on biomedical instrumentation, signal and image processing, modeling and simulation, as well as data-intensive methods and AI-based approaches for analysis and decision support. In the final stage, translational methods for technology transfer, evaluation, and implementation in healthcare are also required.
The role requires a technical background and experience in collaboration with clinical researchers in the field, where technology transfer, evaluation, and implementation in healthcare are central. The position also includes basic education and administrative tasks. As a professor in neurotechnology, you will supervise undergraduate and doctoral students and contribute to pedagogical development, supervision competence, and academic mentorship within the research area. The role also includes responsibility for contributing to the development of education in medical technology and neurotechnology at basic and advanced levels.
Your qualifications

For this position, particular emphasis will be placed on scientific skill.
Regarding scientific skill, the following will be assessed:
Requirements for the position:
- That you have an established and active research line in neurotechnology.
- That you use engineering methods for development and analysis.
- That your research occurs in close collaboration with clinical researchers.
- That you have demonstrated the ability to attract significant external research funding.
Meritorious for the position:
- That you have experience in building attractive research environments.
- That the focus of your research is biomedical instrumentation, which also includes signal and image processing as well as computer models and simulation.
- That you have experience in close collaboration with clinical researchers in the neuro area.
- That you have experience in technology transfer, evaluation, and implementation in healthcare.
Regarding pedagogical skill, the following will be assessed:

- That you have experience in planning, conducting, evaluating, reflecting on, and developing teaching.
- That you have experience in leading and developing pedagogical activities.

- That you have good ability to lead and motivate other researchers and create engagement.
Since teaching and research are conducted in Swedish and English, you must demonstrate the ability to teach and conduct research in English, and it is desirable that within two years you can teach and conduct research in Swedish.
