Music Teacher - Weekend Course Lilla Piccola

Music School Lilla Akademien offers a unique music education, where a strong music profile is integrated into all activities. With music at the center, we work to have a holistic view of each student. The school has an integrated character with many different nationalities among students and staff.

We are seeking a music teacher for our weekend course Lilla Piccola for children aged 4-5 without parents

Course structure:

The Lilla Piccola course is aimed at children aged 4-5. It involves teaching in story singing, dance, and music. A large gathering of 15 minutes together with all three groups of children, about 14 children in each group. Then, 30-minute lessons each in the different subjects: story singing, dance, and music. After two 30-minute sessions, there is a 15-minute break before the final 30-minute session.

During music lessons, notes, nuances, rhythm, and form come alive through examples drawn from the children's world. In play with the building blocks of music, children develop an understanding and intuitive feel for music. In interplay between music, dance, and story singing, encounters arise that can enhance expression in the children. Each year, we base our work on Lilla Akademien's theme; this year, the theme is Bridges.

The course is on weekends and between 09:00-16:00 for 12 weeks in the fall and 12 weeks in the spring. The planned course start is the last weekend in August 2025.

We are looking for you who have experience working with children and youth, preferably in toddler groups aged 4-5. You enjoy working both independently and in a group, and are comfortable collaborating with both children and parents.
