Study and Career Counselor 20%

The Language School in Upplands Väsby is seeking a dedicated study and career counselor (20%) who wants to support students in their future choices. In this role, you will work closely with students, guardians, and school staff to create good conditions for studies and future career choices.

Job Duties

- Individual counseling for students in different grades

- Information about educational pathways and the labor market

- Collaboration with teachers and student health teams

- Planning and implementation of counseling initiatives

- Coordination of PRAO (practical work-life orientation), including contact with workplaces and placement of students

- Support in choosing upper secondary programs, studies, and career paths

Qualifications

- Degree as a study and career counselor

- Good knowledge of the education system

- Ability to motivate and support youth

- Good communication and social skills

- Experience from a school setting is meritorious
