Job Duties

We are now looking for you who are certified in Swedish/Social Studies for grades 7–9. Do you want to be part of building one of Malmö's newest upper secondary schools? Then this is an assignment for you.

We need you who are interested in continuing to develop our fine school together with school leadership and colleagues. You will have the opportunity to participate in developing the operations for upper secondary level, and therefore we are looking for you who have the ability and willingness to see the whole picture and work to create favorable structures and routines with each student in focus. You will be part of a team of teachers where you together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development. Your focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment.

You will teach students in upper secondary level, where you educate and support the students in their social development and in their knowledge development. You challenge the students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. With us at Limhamn School, you are offered a developmental assignment where you are part of the process to create a well-functioning grades 7-9 school. In addition to your team of teachers, you will also collaborate with the school leadership and the student health team. Your assignment includes mentorship for some of our students. In your role as mentor, you have a specific responsibility for a group of students whom you have the opportunity to follow more closely regarding knowledge development and personal maturity. As a mentor, you conduct regular development discussions to keep the student and the student's guardians updated on the knowledge development.

Qualifications

You who apply are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching in grades 7-9 in Swedish/Social Studies. If you have previous experience working as a teacher, we see that as meritorious. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical abilities and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day.

Based on current research, you develop your work and with good familiarity and practice, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Naturally, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school. About the Workplace

The school building was completed in 2019 and is located along Limhamnsvägen in Limhamn's seaside city with proximity to Ribersborg Beach, the sea, green areas, Limhamn's center, and buses to Central Station and Hyllie. The school started in August 2024 and is planned to grow into a grades 7–9 school with room for about 360 students. At the school, there is also a resource school with 30 students.
