Vocational Teacher in Care and Nursing for LinVux (Substitute Position)

Your Responsibilities

As a care teacher at Linvux, you will be involved in educating tomorrow's employees in care and nursing. You will share your professional knowledge through teaching in care and nursing subjects in both theory and practice, where workplace-based learning visits are part of your daily routine.

The starting point for you as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, validation, and evaluation based on the course and subject plans in care and nursing. As a care teacher, you will teach in on-site and distance courses for adult students who are either studying the vocational package or standalone courses. Apprenticeship training and teaching towards Vocational Higher Education (YH) may also occur. We also work with commissioned training for care and nursing operations. Examples of commissioned training can include documentation, core values, and language development work. This means a varied daily routine where you get to share your knowledge in multiple forums. Linvux is also part of the Care and Nursing College (VOC).

In the work at Linvux, there is a strong focus on having a holistic view of the student's learning in collaboration with colleagues and other relevant functions. You will be part of a work team that works very closely together, sometimes sharing a course with a colleague.

Your Workplace

Linvux is the municipality's adult education run in-house. We provide education for adults in upper secondary and basic courses as well as SFI (Swedish for Immigrants). By fall 2026, we will primarily be located at two different addresses, Mjärdevi and at Anders Ljungstedt's Upper Secondary School. At Linvux, around 120 employees work, and we have over 2000 students at all levels and study forms. The placement for this position is Mjärdevi. Our training programs conduct their method exercises at Linné Upper Secondary School, which means that you will also teach on-site from Linné Upper Secondary School's premises to some extent.

At Linvux, we always work with the student in focus, including by providing continuous support to our students throughout their education. Our students study both on-site and at a distance. We start new courses every tenth week, which means that during an academic year with us, you will meet many student groups on different courses.

As a teacher at Linvux, there is a strong focus on having a holistic view of the student's learning in collaboration with colleagues and other relevant functions. We collaborate closely in subject and work teams, and we often rotate responsibility for the courses. You Who Are Applying

Primarily, we are looking for you who are a licensed vocational teacher in care and nursing or are at the end of your education. We also welcome you who have a solid background as, for example, a nurse, nursing assistant, or physiotherapist and, in the long term, want to further educate yourself to become a vocational teacher in care and nursing parallel to your work. It is a requirement that you have practical experience from the care sector, and it is advantageous if you have supervised students in workplace-based learning or worked with education within your basic profession. It is also advantageous if you have taught at upper secondary school or adult education for at least one academic year and if you have experience in grading.

In your role as a teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum and other governing documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is so that, according to the curriculum, you can organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development.

As a teacher, you are a good role model. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students. You also need to be flexible because we have varying numbers of course starts each term based on student enrollment. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
