Your Duties

We are looking for a vocational teacher who wants to teach future CNC operators. Here, you will be the link between modern industry and the school. Your expertise in cutting data, tool selection, and programming will be crucial for the students' success.

As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, assessment, and values-based work based on the curriculum. The work is mainly independent as you are the only teacher in CNC technology at Linvux. There are two teachers in the same subject at Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium, and you will collaborate to some extent with them. The three of you share the facilities available at Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium.

You base your approach on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. The education is 55 weeks, and at least 15% of the time, the students have APL (practical training). Your duties include nurturing existing collaborations with companies/organizations and creating new collaborations for more APL placements. You also follow up on students during their APL. You are responsible for the entire CNC operator training, practical training, and any validations and assessments at Linvux.

To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you utilize the experiences and knowledge of various professions.

Your Workplace

Linvux is the municipality's adult education conducted independently. We provide education for adults in upper secondary and basic courses as well as SFI. By autumn -26, we will mainly be at two different addresses, Mjärdevi and at Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium. At Linvux, around 120 employees work, and we have over 2000 students at all levels and study forms. This position is located at Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium.

At LinVux, we always work with the student in focus, among other things, by providing continuous support to our students throughout their education. Our students study both on-site and remotely. We start new courses every ten weeks, which means that during an academic year with us, you will meet many student groups on different courses.

As a teacher at Linvux, there is a strong focus on having a holistic view of the student's learning in collaboration with colleagues and other relevant functions. We collaborate closely in subject and work teams, and we often rotate responsibility for courses. You as an Applicant

We are looking for you who are a confident and skilled operator with work experience in industrial technology. You have worked with complete processing (milling, drilling, turning, threading, and boring) and master everything from reading drawings and measurement techniques to programming and setting up modern CNC machines. Since you are responsible for the entire training chain, we see that you have a good overall understanding of the production flow, from raw material to finished part. You have good knowledge in CAD/CAM and production engineering processes. It is advantageous if you have previously hosted students on APL or otherwise collaborated with the school regarding student education. It is advantageous if you have taught at adult education or upper secondary school.

If you are a trained vocational teacher, it is advantageous. You who are not a trained vocational teacher have the opportunity to apply for a qualification-granting education within the framework of the employment to become a vocational teacher while employed with us.

It is a requirement that you have a driver's license, as you need to travel by car (which can be borrowed) to the students' various APL placements.

You have good communicative ability in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum, you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development.

As a teacher, you are a good role model and confident in yourself. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students' needs. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
