English Teacher at a Folk High School

At a folk high school, there is a general course and a special course. The general course is for those who have not completed high school or want to supplement their previous knowledge. After completing studies, one is eligible to apply further to vocational college, college, or university. The special course includes courses that are not directly preparatory for higher education, for example, our music line and video game education. The special course can also be directly vocational-oriented like our assistant nurse training. One of our general courses is aimed at individuals with autism spectrum conditions. Everyone attending a folk high school is 18 years or older.

We are looking for an English teacher with either social studies, history, or religion as a second subject for our general course. Teaching is at high school level but may also include parts of the later stages of compulsory school. The work is done in close collaboration with the rest of the teaching staff and administration. It is assumed that one wants to work thematically and cross-boundary. This can range from theme days to assisting in a project on the special course.

We are looking for a colleague with good interpersonal skills, who is open to working broadly and sees the job from a holistic perspective. You should have adequate subject education and preferably experience in folk high schools.
