Preschool Teacher

Linneabacken is an independent preschool in Lindome with Montessori and outdoor pedagogy as guiding principles. We have recently been converted into a parent cooperative—an exciting change that gives us a fresh start with the same strong educational foundation that has been here since 2014.

We are looking for a licensed preschool teacher who wants to work in a family-like environment where the educator truly makes a difference. You are not a cog in a big machine—you are one of few, and it shows.

About the Preschool

The preschool has two departments—Knyttet (1–3 years) and Vätten (3–5 years)—with up to 40 children in total and a staff group that has largely worked here for a long time. The premises are spacious and bright and are located in Spinneriet in Lindome, with the forest within walking distance.

- Outdoor pedagogy—daily forest visits and outdoor stays are not an exception, they are the norm

- Montessori influences—a prepared, stimulating environment where the child leads their own learning

- Low-affect approach—a common approach that permeates the entire operation

As a parent cooperative, we have engaged parents who are involved in the operation. This provides a unique closeness and a trusting collaboration with the homes that is hard to find elsewhere.

This job involves:

You are responsible for the teaching in your child group and lead the pedagogical work in close collaboration with childcare workers and the principal. You are used to combining care and teaching and see them as a whole, just as the curriculum describes it.

- Planning and implementation of teaching in accordance with Lpfö 18 revised 2025

- Daily outdoor stays and forest pedagogy as a natural part of the mission

- Documentation, analysis, and systematic quality work

- Development talks with guardians and ongoing contact via the Tyra app

- Collaboration with handover to schools—Valåsskolan, Sinntorpsskolan, and Hällesåkersskolan

- Actively contribute to the pedagogical leadership in a small workgroup

We are looking for you who:

- Have a preschool teacher license

- Want to be involved in influencing and shaping the new Linneabacken

- See the forest as a learning environment and enjoy being outdoors in all weathers

- Work with a low-affect approach and meet each child based on their own conditions

- Are a secure educator who can lead and inspire colleagues in the daily work

- Value closeness and family-like atmosphere

Meritorious: Montessori education or documented experience in Montessori pedagogy. Experience in systematic quality work as a driving force, not just as a documentation task. Previous work in a parent cooperative.
