Financial Officer

Do you want to use your financial expertise to contribute to a more important purpose? We are now seeking a financial officer who wants to play a key role in our congregation and ensure a stable and sustainable economy.

As the financial officer, you have the overall responsibility for the congregation's finances and serve as an important support for the congregation's board. The role combines operational responsibility with strategic responsibility and requires a good understanding of the organization's conditions.

In this role, you will:

• Manage ongoing accounting.
• Be responsible for budget, forecasts, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Lead and drive the congregation's financial work.
• Be responsible for payroll administration.
• Provide support to the congregation's various activities in financial matters.

Requirements and merits:

We believe you are responsible and enjoy being involved in driving and developing the congregation's financial work. You are structured and clear in your communication and have the ability to create order, routines, and at the same time be flexible. You are meticulous in your tasks, can work independently, and at the same time collaborate with colleagues and volunteers. You have the ability to see the big picture but understand what lies behind the numbers. You have financial knowledge to manage a broad range of financial work. We prefer that you have:

• At least 5 years of work experience in the field.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, with emphasis on Excel.
• Experience with Fortnox or equivalent financial systems.

As an employee with us, we also see that you support the congregation's core values. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. As the financial officer, you are part of the staff's administrative team. You participate in the congregation's financial council with volunteers who have good experience in finance. The position is based on weekdays, Monday to Friday. Working hours are adjusted according to the employment rate and in consultation with the nearest manager. Some evening and weekend work may occur to a lesser extent.

Pingst Jönköping

We are a community of people who have a personal faith in God, and we have over 2300 members in the congregation. We are an independent local congregation and at the same time part of the Swedish Pentecostal movement.

We have a broad range of activities with several different parts, such as children's and youth activities, extensive diaconal work, singing and music life, and much more. The church premises are rented out for various conferences and events, and every Sunday we hold worship services. We are a staff group of about 25 people and have a large and engaged volunteer organization. Application

Permanent employment with a probationary period of 6 months.

Employment rate: 50-100%, employment rate determined by agreement.
