School Nurse for IES Uppsala
International English School Uppsala is an elementary school, grades 4-9, consisting of 745 students and is part of International School AB (IES) which today consists of 46 elementary schools across the country. The central student health service's medical efforts at IES consist of MLA, coordinating school nurses, and resource nurses who work in close collaboration with school nurses at the schools. From central EMI, services include the introduction of new employees, network meetings, and ongoing training, as well as readily available support and questions.
About the position
The position is primarily aimed at students in middle school and includes usual tasks according to the guidelines of the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Swedish National Agency for Education, such as: health conversations and health checks, open reception for students, doctor's appointments, vaccinations, and preventive and health-promoting work at group and organizational levels.
As a school nurse at our school, you will work together with our other school nurse as well as with the principal and other professions in the student health team to support the students' development towards the educational goals. Collaboration with municipalities and other authorities, as well as contact with guardians, is a natural part of the work.
Qualifications: Registered nurse with specialist training in: child and youth, district nurse, or the school nurse program. Previous experience as a school nurse is advantageous.
