
Summer Temporary Position Full/Part-Time. Home Care with Dementia Focus

HOME CARE
We are looking for you who have an interest in working with people who have a memory illness (dementia) and/or mental health issues, as we only have such clients in our home care operations (the clients are not outwardly aggressive or dangerous).
The operation offers three different arrangements of positions for the summer.

Position for fixed schedule:
Daytime: Rolling four-week schedule at 100% (with every other week being weekend work 37/37). You have a fixed schedule that you follow between approximately June-August. It is also possible to start before June and continue working in the operation after August.
Working hours: 07:30-16:30
Evening time: Rolling four-week schedule at 84.12%. You have a fixed schedule that you follow between approximately June-August. It is also possible to start before June and continue working in the operation after August. Work shifts are about 19 per month.
Working hours: 15:00-22:00
Book yourself on individual shifts: If you are not available for work all summer, you can book yourself on individual shifts. A requirement is that you are available at least 3 shifts per week, as our clients need continuity. Depending on available shifts, you can work both day, evening, weekdays, and weekends based on what works for you. It is also possible to start before June and continue working in the operation after August.
Salary: Based on the operation's collective agreement (Almega Vårdföretagarna)
Introduction and supervision
You will receive an introduction before you start working independently, and there are always team leaders during the day at the operation's premises who can provide you with supervision and support while you work. You also continuously report during your work shift to the team leaders if anything deviates with the client or in the schedule.
To work in the operation, you should:
-have an interest in working with people who have various dementia illnesses or mental health issues
-have very good Swedish in speech and writing, as you visit clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you need to be able to document in records and read instructions.
-be self-sufficient, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your work approach. It is important that you are very social and find it easy to meet and communicate with people you do not know
-handle stress and be able to plan and structure your work
-have good local knowledge in inner Stockholm, as you get around via public transport or walking. If you are not accustomed to Stockholm, you need to feel secure moving around in new areas.

Job duties
You follow an assignment schedule and go to clients in their own homes to perform the interventions that the clients are granted according to assistance decisions. The decision includes, among other things, taking care of general hygiene and intimate hygiene, showering, cooking, social interaction, cleaning, laundry, errands, accompanying to various facilities, and walks. We work a lot with motivation to be able to perform the interventions and use various work methods as aids.
We have team leaders and administrators staffing the office during the day, to whom you can turn in your daily work.
Who we are
Stockholm Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that performs interventions in the client's own home. The operation also provides companion service, relief service, and housing support.
We work with the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out from each client visit using a mobile phone, NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's record. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.
Where we are located and how you get around to clients
We have clients in 8 different districts, and you start and end your work shift from Södermalm where we have our premises. You get around to clients via public transport or walking (the operation has no cars). An SL card is a requirement to hold for this position.
