Assistant Nurse Day Shift 100% HOME CARE with Dementia and Psychiatric Focus

Note:

You must be a fully trained assistant nurse and be able to present a certificate for this position.

We are seeking you who are an assistant nurse and have knowledge and interest in working with people who have memory disorders (dementia) and/or mental illness, as we only have such clients in the home care operations. You can work mixed both within home care and as a housing support worker if you wish.

HOME CARE

Start Date: Immediately

Working Hours: 07:30-16:30

Schedule Pattern: Four-week schedule (meaning you work on a schedule that is spread over four weeks consecutively, with every other week being weekend work). 100% - 37/37

Education Requirements: Fully trained assistant nurse with an approved Swedish certificate of 1500 credits

Salary: Based on the organization's collective agreement (Almega healthcare employers)

Probationary employment applies for 6 months from the employment date according to the collective agreement

To work in the operation, it is advantageous if you:

- have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various dementia diseases or mental illness

- have worked for an extended period in home care or elderly care

- are very proficient in Swedish in speech and writing, as you will visit clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you need to document in journals and read instructions.

- are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your work approach

- handle stress and can plan and structure your work

- have good local knowledge in inner Stockholm, as you travel around via public transport or walk

Note that we ultimately place great importance on personal suitability, such as knowledge, interest, initiative ability, communication/approach, and personality character.

Job Duties

You follow an assignment schedule and visit clients in their own homes to perform the interventions that clients are granted according to assistance decisions. The decision includes, among other things, managing general hygiene and intimate hygiene, showering, cooking, social interaction, cleaning, laundry, errands, accompanying to various facilities, and walks. We work a lot with motivation to be able to perform the interventions and use various work methods as tools.

We have group leaders and administrators who staff the office during the day, where you can turn for your daily work.

Who We Are

Stockholm Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that performs interventions in clients' own homes. The operation also provides companion service, relief service, and housing support.

The operation primarily targets clients who have various severity levels of dementia diseases, mental illness, disabilities, and addiction issues. Depending on your experience, competence, and interest, you can work more focused on one of these diseases and diagnoses or mixed.

We work with the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out from each client visit using a mobile phone, NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.

Where We Are Located and How You Travel to Clients

We have clients in 8 different districts, and you start and end each work shift from Södermalm where we have our premises, regardless of which district you are in during the day. You travel to clients via public transport or walk (the operation has no cars). An SL card is a requirement for this position.
