We are looking for you who have knowledge and interest in working with people who have a memory illness (dementia) and/or mental health issues, as we only have such clients in our home care operations.

HOME CARE

Working Hours:

The operation has two different shifts per day, and as needed, you work one of the two shifts.

Day 07.30-16.30

Evening 15.00-22.00

Work Opportunities: Requirement is that you can be available for work AT LEAST 3 shifts per week, and we wish that you can work more than that as we strive for the highest possible continuity in the operation. (We do not accept that you can only work on weekends or parts of a shift, as these are the times that apply). We also see that you have the intention to stay in the operation for a longer period.

Salary: Based on the operation's collective agreement (Almega)

To work in the operation, it is advantageous if you:

- have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various dementia illnesses or mental health issues

- have worked for a longer time in home care or elderly care facilities

- are very proficient in Swedish in speech and writing, as you will visit clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you need to be able to document in records and read instructions.

- are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your work approach

- handle stress and can plan and structure your work

- have good local knowledge in inner Stockholm, as you get around via public transportation or walking

Note that we ultimately place great importance on personal suitability such as knowledge, interest, initiative ability, communication/approach, and personality traits.

Job Duties

You follow an intervention schedule and go to clients in their own homes to perform the interventions that clients are granted according to assistance decisions. The decision includes, among other things, managing general hygiene and intimate hygiene, showering, cooking, social interaction, cleaning, laundry, errands, accompanying to various facilities, and walking. We work a lot with motivation so that we can perform the interventions and use various work methods as aids.

We have team leaders and administrators staffing the office during the day, where you can turn for your daily work.

Who We Are

Stockholm Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that performs interventions in clients' own homes. The operation also provides escort services, relief services, and housing support.

The operation consists only of two large teams, and you can work in both depending on interest and competence:

The Dementia Team focuses on clients with dementia illnesses where the severity levels vary.

The Special Team focuses on mental health issues, ongoing substance abuse, and also includes housing support.

We work with the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out from each client visit using a mobile phone, NFC tags, and document directly on site in the client's record. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.

Where We Are and How You Get Around to Clients

We have clients in 8 different districts, and you start and end your work shift from Södermalm where we have our facility. You get around to clients via public transportation or walking (the operation has no cars). An SL card is a requirement for this position.
