Mechanical Designer for Automated Machines and Conveyor Systems. 50% Remote Work

We are now looking for a mechanical designer at ESU Automation AB – a company with long experience, strong innovative power, and an exciting expansion to the USA in 2026.

About the Role

As a mechanical designer with us, you will have a central role in our projects and work through the entire process – from idea to completed facility.

You will:

• Design machines and systems in SolidWorks
• Develop innovative and cost-effective solutions
• Participate in projects from concept to commissioning
• Support during assembly and installation
• Support the sales organization in technical solutions and quotation work
• Participate in final testing at the customer's site

You will be an important part of the project team and have great scope to influence both technology choices and working methods.

Your Main Areas of Responsibility

• Design complex and innovative production machines
• Plan and coordinate ordering and manufacturing of machine parts
• Contribute to improving the performance, availability, and safety of facilities
• Work with safety issues, risk assessments, and CE marking
• Participate in commissioning of machines and systems

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who:

• Have good knowledge and experience in mechanical design
• Have good proficiency in CAD, and SolidWorks
• Are solution-oriented and enjoy thinking innovatively
• Are practically inclined and not afraid to sometimes work with assembly. Which may be relevant during installations etc.
• Have a good understanding of safety, CE, and relevant standards
• Thrive in a flexible and project-based environment
• Have technical education in mechanical engineering
• Master Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Meritorious if You Also:

• Have experience from industry/automation (meritorious)

· Have experience in project management (meritorious)
