Karlshamn Montessori School is seeking a preschool teacher for a long-term substitute position

Welcome to the small preschool with personal interactions! The preschool has two departments for children aged 1-3 and two departments for ages 3-5. Currently, we have around 60 children in our preschool.

Within Montessori pedagogy, it is considered more important for individuals to find the best within themselves than to be the best compared to others.

Children are naturally curious. They have a spontaneous desire to explore the world—to learn to live. When there is a desire to learn, it comes easily. Practical and theoretical tasks alternate with individual work and group work. Children have a spontaneous desire to explore the world—to learn to live. During circle time, we discuss various topics such as animals, environmental issues, children in other countries, and explore different themes. We go outside every day and take trips to the forest each week. We use a working method, structure, and approach that supports the ideas and methods of Montessori pedagogy.

The person we are looking for will work with children aged 3-5 together with a team. If you are not Montessori-trained, we want you to have an interest in working with and learning more about the pedagogy and our working methods. We prefer that you have knowledge in NPF.

As a person, you are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work in an efficient way, and to be successful in the role, you need to be flexible in your working methods. You are clear in your communication and can easily build connections with both children and adults.
