Part-time Substitute Childcare Worker Wanted for Villa Villekulla in Knivsta

About the Workplace

Do you want to work in a small, secure, and committed preschool where nature is an integral part of daily life? Villa Villekulla is a parent cooperative in Knivsta with about 22 children divided into two groups, one for younger children aged 1 to 3 and one for older children aged 4 to 6. Here, five educators work in close collaboration with families, creating a warm, personal, and stable environment.

We work according to the Friluftsfrämjandet's I Ur och Skur pedagogy, where children learn through play, movement, and experiences in nature all year round.

Job Duties

As a part-time substitute childcare worker, you work as needed and provide support to the regular staff. You contribute to creating a safe and stimulating environment with the child at the center and ensuring that daily operations run smoothly.

The work involves participating in play, learning, and care both indoors and outdoors, with a special focus on activities in the forest and nature. You support children's development through exploration, movement, and experiences, collaborate with colleagues, and follow the routines of the operation.

Qualifications and Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who:

• Is at least 18 years old and has completed high school education
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Is a secure and positive role model for children
• Takes initiative and is flexible
• Has good teamwork skills
• Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions

It is advantageous if you:

• Have experience working with children, preferably in a preschool setting
• Are a trained childcare worker
• Have experience with outdoor education

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
