About Us

Stjärnholms Riding Association (SRF) is located in Södermanland between Oxelösund and Nyköping, approximately 11 miles from Stockholm. We have about 400 members, and in our quality-certified riding school, over 340 students, with or without functional variations, ride each week at various levels, from "toddler riding" for the youngest to advanced special groups for the most skilled riders. The association has an active youth section and annually organizes jumping and dressage competitions, the latter up to two-star level. We own 23 pleasant, well-ridden horses and ponies. Additionally, there are currently 4 leased ponies and 12 privately stabled horses at the facility. Today, we have a total of 8 employees.

The horses' well-being as well as a good association spirit are the focus of the association. Everyone should feel welcome at Stjärnholm.

As our current stable manager and riding instructor now moves on to new challenges, we are looking for you to take over the baton and become a central part of Stjärnholm's future.

· An important role in the daily work and, in collaboration with the riding school manager and board, to lead the riding school's long-term and strategic development.

· Opportunity to develop both horses and students in a safe and engaging environment

· Responsibility for the facility and horse herd in close collaboration with the riding school manager and board

· Riding lessons on sand arenas, in riding halls, and on riding trails

Job Duties

· Plan for the daily and annual care of the horse herd

· Responsible for the horses' feed rations, shoeing, vaccinations

· Training and breaking in of school horses

· Some stable work and supervision of stable staff

· Responsibility for pasture division into suitable paddocks and companions

· Purchase of feed, bedding, and other items related to our school horses

· Plan for the horse herd, purchases, retirement, etc.

· Facility responsibility, such as footing in riding halls, on riding arenas, etc.

We are looking for you who wants to develop Stjärnholms Riding Association into an attractive place, where staff, members, and horses seek out and want to stay. You are a positive, active, outgoing person with drive and commitment.

You enjoy collaborating with different types of people and find it easy to build good relationships with both horses and people such as students, parents, other members, and your colleagues. You are pedagogical and responsible.

You should be educated at least to SRL I level or equivalent, and/or have long-term experience. It is a plus if you have management experience. It is also advantageous if you are interested in competitions.

Desirable are skills in the administration system Hippocrates, as well as experience with computer work in Word and Excel or similar. BE or extended B driver's license is advantageous.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

The position is full-time from August 1, 2026. Weekend and evening duties are included. Salary according to agreement. The position is permanent employment, and we apply a 6-month probationary period.
