At Sånghusvallens F-6 school in Ås, there are about 200 students. We work in close collaboration to create holistic solutions for the students throughout the school day.

We are looking for a teacher who wants to help build a safe, structured, and developmental learning environment. With us, you will have the opportunity to work in an engaged team where collaboration, relationships, and high expectations go hand in hand.

The Children and Education Administration has about 800 employees. The administration's operations extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, compulsory school F-9, adapted compulsory school, after-school programs, food and cleaning services, mother tongue education, and library services.

A day as a teacher at Sånghusvallens Primary School

As a teacher with us, you work in a team where collaboration and shared responsibility for students' learning are central. You plan, implement, and follow up teaching based on the curriculum and students' needs. You have an important role in creating structure, safety, and study environment in the classroom as well as building strong relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Meeting students with high expectations, clarity, and warmth is a natural part of the assignment.

The role also includes actively participating in the school's development work, focusing on language and knowledge development approaches, collegial learning, and creating accessible learning environments.

Your Competence

• You have a teaching license with qualifications to teach in grades F–3.
• You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and have the ability to implement them in your teaching.
• You have good ability to create structure, clarity, and safety in the classroom.
• You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and have a professional approach in your assignment.
• You have good collaboration skills and see the team as a resource in the work.

• Experience in teaching in the lower grades is meritorious.
• Experience with language and knowledge development approaches as well as early reading and writing efforts is meritorious.
• Knowledge of extra adaptations and work with students in need of special support is meritorious.

The position is a permanent employment at 100% with a start date of 2026-08-03.
