Junior Corporate Lawyer (AML and Compliance Focus)

About the Role

Tavex AB is seeking a junior corporate lawyer for our office in Stockholm. This is an excellent opportunity for you who have recently graduated with a law degree (or are expected to graduate within the next three months) and want to build a career combining practical legal work with compliance in the precious metals sector.

You will work closely with the company's compliance and management group, providing daily legal advice while playing an important role in our anti-money laundering (AML) and regulatory work. The position offers a unique combination of traditional corporate legal work and operational AML tasks in a dynamic and international corporate environment.

The position is full-time and performed on-site.

Job Duties

• Provide ongoing legal advice and support to management and operations in commercial, regulatory, and compliance-related matters
• Prepare, review, and negotiate legal documents, contracts, and internal policies
• Conduct transaction monitoring, investigate AML alerts, and, when necessary, prepare reports to the Financial Police (FIPO)
• Perform compliance checks according to the Money Laundering Act and the Act on Trade in Used Goods
• Contribute to the development and updating of internal procedures, processes, and training materials
• Communicate with authorities and assist with regulatory reporting
• Support operations with internal guidance and training efforts in law and compliance

Requirements:

• Law degree (either recently obtained within the last 1–2 years or planned for spring/summer 2026). Final-year students in the law program are welcome to apply.
• Strong academic merits in law
• Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• High analytical ability, attention to detail, and structured working approach
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential information

Meritorious:

• 1–2 years of relevant experience (e.g., through internships, thesis work, or previous roles in law, compliance, or AML)
• Knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations
• Experience from banking, fintech, or the precious metals industry
