About Sjölyckan
Sjölyckan is more than just a restaurant or event venue – it's a vibrant meeting place where nature and community are at the center. Everything from weddings, parties, and corporate events to cozy dinners by the water is organized here.
We also offer hotel operations with breakfast service, as well as canoe rental, allowing our guests to experience both tranquility and activity during their stay with us. We are now looking for a driven and committed Operations Manager who wants to help lead and develop the daily operations – from kitchen to customer experience.
What does the role involve?
As Operations Manager at Sjölyckan, you have a key role in ensuring everything runs smoothly – both behind the scenes and in interactions with guests. You are a jack-of-all-trades who stays on top of things and thrives on variety, responsibility, and collaboration.
Work tasks include, among others:
- Guest service & serving
- Planning and coordination of the entire operation
- Cleaning and maintenance of premises and hotel rooms
- Breakfast service for hotel guests
- Staff responsibility – scheduling, guidance, and daily work supervision
- Participation in and responsibility for various types of events
- Cooking and preparing food (daily & events as needed)
- Ongoing contact with suppliers and partners
- Practical tasks and minor repairs
- Handling of canoe rental
- Use of digital systems (booking, scheduling, purchasing, etc.)
We are looking for you who
- Are self-sufficient, solution-oriented, and organized
- Have experience from restaurants, cafés, kitchens, hotels, or similar environments
- Are used to taking responsibility
- Enjoy working at a fast pace with varied tasks
- Have a big heart for service, food, and people
- Are flexible and enjoy working both practically and administratively
It is advantageous if you also
- Have good IT skills and are comfortable with digital systems
- Are handy and have some technical or practical knowledge
- Have previous experience with staff responsibility
- Have worked with events, accommodation, or activity operations
- Have food hygiene training or equivalent
Important to know
Working hours vary and include both evenings and weekends, depending on season and bookings. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is flexible, service-oriented, and solution-focused.
