About the school

Metapontum's compulsory school is an independent school for grades F-9 with approximately 570 students. About the Job

For the academic year 26/27, we are looking for a teacher in chemistry and biology at 100%. The position also includes mentorship and a departmental responsibility for science education in the upper secondary level.

We are looking for you with the qualification to teach chemistry and biology at the upper secondary level. We want you to have good collaboration skills, ease in creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and in an enthusiastic and inspiring way include students in the subject.

We further see that you are a pedagogical and clear leader who can structure and plan your work in an effective way. You are engaged, flexible, and proactive. We assume that your goal is to create a developing, positive, and safe learning environment for your students. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language both in speech and writing. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements

• Teaching license with qualification to teach chemistry and biology for grades 7-9

Meritorious

• Work experience as a teacher in compulsory school
• Experience in driving development work within science education in compulsory school
• Experience working with Schoolsoft and Google Workspace for Education

We apply individual salary setting. Start date by agreement. We have a collective agreement in Almega education and a wellness allowance. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the end of the application period.
