Description

Are you the special education teacher with broad subject qualifications who can inspire our students at IES Norrtälje? Do you thrive in an international school environment where you have the opportunity to develop as both a teacher and a leader? Then this could be the role for you! We are looking for a certified special education teacher, with a planned start in August 2026. Internationella Engelska Skolan in Norrtälje opened in 2024 and currently has around 400 students in grades F–9. As an employee with us, you are part of a work team where you work together to drive and develop the operations. We work to ensure that every student feels safety and well-being in a learning environment. We work to awaken students' enthusiasm, engagement, curiosity, and creativity. Every student should have the opportunity to develop based on their conditions and feel confidence in their own abilities. Instruction in Swedish is conducted in Swedish, while English is used frequently in communication among staff. It is important to point out to professional applicants that IESN is no ordinary Swedish school, quite the opposite - discipline and good manners are the constant order of the day and our conservative, but hugely challenging task, is to create and develop ladies and gentlemen of the future. The school is bilingual which means we utilise both English and Swedish in our class instruction and we endeavour to develop students who quickly learn to line-up quietly and pay attention to the language that they implement. Furthermore, we do not believe in 'lagom' and we encourage competition and winning. In addition, IESN can only employ teachers with Swedish teaching accreditation, i.e., Lärarlegitimationen, but we are always open to applications which show initiative or the recognition that teaching is not a job but a 'calling', wherein going the extra mile is a given necessity to achieve the best for students. Should you wish to pursue your interest in IESN further, then please do send us your individual CVs and Cover letters in English. This is what we offer With us, you get: - An international and inspiring workplace where Swedish and English are used in parallel. - Colleagues who collaborate, support each other, and work towards common goals. - A school with a study environment, clear routines, and a positive culture that benefits both students and staff. - The opportunity to be part of a well-established organization where your competence is valued. - Full-time position. - Holiday employment with entry in August 2026 or earlier by agreement. Probationary employment applies for the first 6 months. Do you want to be part of inspiring and at the same time take the next step in your career? Submit your application and become part of our fantastic team! Recruitment is ongoing, so submit your application (CV, cover letter, and teaching certification) via our IES Careers website
