Leisure Leader/Childcare Worker 75% Swedish Church Vikingstad Parish

Do you want to be part of developing Vikingstad's growing parish? Are you passionate about working with children? Do you want to spread the message of God to those you meet in a pedagogical, varied, and personal way?

Vikingstad parish is located just west of Linköping, 7 minutes by commuter train, and is a parish of opportunities. Today, there are about 3600 church members, and we are growing all the time as Vikingstad expands. The parish has 5 churches, and in addition, there is the Church House with activity rooms, a chapel, and offices for most of us 13 who make up the parish's work team. The weekly worship service is, of course, the center of the parish, but beyond that, there is a lot of activity for all ages.

We are looking for you who

• are educated as a leisure leader, preferably with a focus on children, or as a childcare worker, or have other education or experience relevant to the position
• long for and are passionate about working with children and families
• have a pedagogical toolbox and a wealth of ideas to develop and think innovatively. Have commitment and a creative working method.
• think it is okay to work both daytime and evenings and weekends
• share the Swedish Church's faith and values and are a member of the Swedish Church
• have at least a B driver's license and access to your own car

The position includes, among other things

• working primarily with the parish's children and family activities
• being part of the work team and development that, through planning, visioning, and implementation, will take Vikingstad parish into the future.
• leading devotions and participating in worship services
• as needed, being a resource in the parish's work with confirmands and youth

• You are good at creating and developing good relationships with people.
• It is just as natural for you to collaborate with colleagues as to work independently.
• Since the work is varied, it also requires that you are flexible and have the ability to plan and organize your work within the framework of the activities.
