Nanndis AB·Stockholm·20. 04. 2026. - 20. 05. 2026.
Role:Preschool Teacher

Requires Swedish:No

Description

Ref. 4294D

A family with three children who are moving to Sweden is seeking a safe, engaged, and proactive nanny.

The position starts on May 2nd and initially runs until August 30th. It is very important that the nanny is available all weekends during this period, with only occasional days off. The family may wish to extend the position afterwards, but it is not a requirement to be available for that.

About the family and children:

The family has three children who at the start of the position will be:

  • A baby of 6 months
  • A child of about 1.5 years (calm, curious, enjoys reading, bathing, and being in playgrounds). May start preschool in August.
  • A child of 5.5 years (active, loves being outdoors, playing in the park, looking for insects, playing with the family's dog and cars). The oldest child starts school in August.

During the summer (June–August), it is summer break and routines are more flexible, and all children will be at home.

The mother is a homemaker and works closely with the nanny in daily life. She often plans the days but also wishes for the nanny to bring their own initiatives, suggestions for activities, and preferably take the children on outings. On occasional occasions, the mother may need to leave the home, and then the nanny is responsible for all children (usually only the two youngest), but most often the nanny is only responsible for one or two children.

The family has previously had nannies and the children are accustomed to it.

Job duties

  • Care for one or more children depending on the day and needs
  • Actively participate in the children's play and development
  • Take the children to activities and playgrounds (everything is within walking distance)
  • Simple meal preparation for the children (lunch)
  • Tidying up after play and meals

The family will have a cleaner who handles most household chores in the home, the nanny's focus will be the children.

Working hours

  • Basic schedule: Saturday and Sunday 07:00-19:00.
  • Occasional shifts on other days if the nanny is available.
  • Travel with the family occasionally, mainly during holidays. It is not a requirement but an advantage if possible.

Languages

  • English is a requirement as the children currently primarily speak English.
  • Swedish is a big plus but not a requirement (the mother speaks Swedish with the children).

Profile

  • Independent and down-to-earth
  • Comfortable with small children and infants
  • Experienced with bottle feeding, diaper changing, and bathing babies
  • Preferably accustomed to working in a family where a parent is at home
  • Sociable, proactive, and fond of children
  • Should love to play!

Other

  • The family has a dog that will likely arrive first in August (an 8-year-old beagle). A big plus if the nanny can take the dog for walks along with the stroller sometimes.
  • There is an opportunity to accompany the family on trips abroad. This is a plus but not a requirement. Mainly during school holidays.
  • The family travels approximately 3–4 times per year
  • It is important to have a long-term nanny for continuity and security
  • The father usually works from another location.

The position will initially run between May 2nd and August 30th.

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.
