Valora Staffing is now seeking an experienced interim manager for an assignment as a Water and Wastewater Manager with a client in Täby.

Background

The water and wastewater operations are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's water and sewage systems and play a central role in community development.

The operation is facing several important challenges such as:

• Increased investment needs
• Renewal of facilities
• Capacity development
• Sustainability and environmental requirements

Against this background, we are now seeking an experienced consultant for the role of Water and Wastewater Manager.

Assignment and responsibilities

As a Water and Wastewater Manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and development within the water and wastewater area.

You are responsible among other things for:

• Leading, developing, and following up on water and wastewater operations (operation, maintenance, and investments)
• Having budget, forecast, and result responsibility
• Ensuring delivery of drinking water and sewage management according to legal requirements
• Leading and developing the organization and employees
• Driving strategic issues within:
• Capacity development
• Climate adaptation
• Sustainable water and wastewater supply
• Information security (NIS2)
• Being responsible for investment projects within water and wastewater
• Ensuring compliance with laws and authority requirements
• Being responsible for procurement as well as monitoring of contracts and contractors

You lead approximately 30 employees, of which 15 are direct-reporting officials.

Requirements profile

We are seeking you who have:

• Relevant higher education within for example civil engineering, road and water, or environment
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within water and wastewater or related operations
• Experience with water and wastewater operations (operation, projects, or planning)
• Experience with budget and result responsibility
• Experience with procurement and contract monitoring

Meritorious:

• Experience from the public sector
• Experience with politically governed organizations
• Experience with larger investment projects
• Knowledge within water and wastewater legislation and environmental requirements
