Business Development Representative – Freelance Consultant

WeMakeThingsHappen is a creative partner for brands in FMCG and foodservice. We help our clients with insight-driven strategies, creative communication, and activations that deliver results.

We are now looking for 2–3 freelancers who want to work on a performance-based model to find and open doors to the right companies.

The Role

Together, we identify potential and relevant customers—brands and companies in food, beverage, and foodservice. You will also conduct your own research and identify other relevant companies and brands.

You will make initial contact via phone and other channels, qualify prospects, schedule meetings with the right person on our team, document calls, and hand them over with proper context.

We will teach you everything you need to know about us, what we offer, and the state of the market. You don't need to have an agency or marketing background from day one—but you must have a business sense, be comfortable in conversations with decision-makers, and have a genuine interest in building relationships.

Are self-sufficient and thrive on taking personal responsibility, have the discipline to structure your own time, feel confident in reaching out to new people and building trust quickly, and are motivated by seeing a clear connection between effort and compensation.

Compensation

The role is commission-based and performed on a freelance basis, via your own company or self-employment service. Compensation is set individually and can be a fixed fee per signed customer, a percentage of the deal's value—or a combination of both. We prefer a model that feels right for both parties and are happy to discuss it during the application process.

We work remotely, which gives you freedom but also requires responsibility.
