Assistant Nurse for Home Healthcare

At Meliva Health Center Skärholmenhälsan, we are looking for dedicated and caring assistant nurses for temporary employment during the summer.

Period: June to the end of August, with the possibility of extension.

About the Position

As an assistant nurse with us, you will work both in home healthcare and at the clinic. An important part of the assignment is to visit patients in their homes when needed, which requires a high sense of responsibility and very good communication skills – both in interactions with patients and in collaboration with colleagues.

You work independently within home healthcare and are responsible for a number of patient visits within an assigned geographical area. Work tasks include, among others:

• Personal care
• Medication management (Apodos, dosette, liquid medications)
• Insulin administration and diabetes-related care
• Inhalations, eye drops, and CPAP
• Other delegated health and medical care tasks
• Documentation in the journal system TakeCare

Qualifications (requirements):

• Educated assistant nurse
• Minimum 2 years of experience in care and nursing
• Experience with home healthcare
• Class B driver's license and access to own car
• Practical experience with medication management (Apodos, dosette, etc.)
• Experience with insulin administration and good knowledge of diabetes
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

• Experience working at a health center
• Experience with the journal system TakeCare
• Experience with municipal care and nursing
