Experienced Project Engineer Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced project engineer for a long-term assignment within infrastructure projects in western Sweden. The role involves working closely with project managers and project organizations in complex road projects, primarily in the planning stage but also in later phases.

You will function as operational support throughout the investment process—from design to implementation—with a focus on ensuring progress, structure, and quality in project work. The role requires an independent and proactive working approach where you drive issues forward, plan and follow up activities, and contribute to efficient decision-making support.

The work also includes supporting other project engineers and contributing to knowledge transfer within the organization. Periodically, the work pace may be high, requiring good structure and prioritization skills.

Examples of work tasks:

• Support project managers in controlling and monitoring projects (time, cost, content)
• Time planning and reporting
• Financial management, forecasts, and monitoring
• Risk management and quality work
• Procurement support and preparation of inquiry documents
• Administrative project support (meetings, documentation, system management)
• Coordination and support within the project organization

Mandatory requirements

• University or college education of at least 180 credits in engineering, economics, or civil engineering—or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience (within the last 8 years) as a project engineer in infrastructure projects (road or railway), of which at least 2 years are consecutive
• Experience in independently working with calculation, budget, time planning, and risk management in relevant project systems (e.g., C7, Project Portal, MS Project, Exonaut Risk, or equivalent)
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience in supporting and collaborating with colleagues in a project environment
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing
• Class B driver's license
