School Administration Admin and Support Educator at Folk High School

St. Birgitta's Folk High School is one of three Catholic folk high schools in Sweden. The school is located in Älvsjö. We are a folk high school with 150-170 adult students. The school's basic operational idea is to, based on the Catholic social philosophy's view of humanity and society as well as the government's four purposes of adult education, offer courses that enable students to progress in life through higher education or work. Therefore, the school's main activities are general courses and a growing nursing assistant education that provides eligibility to apply for the protected professional title.

We are now seeking a new colleague for a combined role as an education administrator and pedagogical work as a study support for students with special needs (75% support / 25% administration).

We are now seeking an engaged and structured employee for a combined role where you will work both administratively and closely with our participants as a study support.

With us, you will be a key person in the operation – a reliable point in the daily life for our participants while ensuring that our administration maintains high quality.

About the role

The position is a combination of participant support and administration, with an emphasis on the supportive work.

You will, among other things:

Work with pedagogical support for our students with special support needs (for example, neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health issues). You participate as a support person both in classrooms during lessons as an extra resource for those who need it, and between and after certain lessons in support with homework, motivation, and study techniques. You will work on both the school's general course and the school's nursing assistant education. You are also part of the school's participant health team.

The administrative tasks involve being a present and accessible contact at the reception. Support participants in questions regarding studies, planning, and authority contacts. Work with CSN-related issues, including reporting and support in applications. Handle administration related to participants, such as:

registration and documentation

attendance and certificates

study plans and schedules

Work in relevant systems for reporting to, for example, CSN, SCB, Region Stockholm, and the Folkbildningsrådet. Contribute to structure and quality in the school's administrative processes. Collaborate closely with colleagues on planning and follow-up of education.

We are seeking you who…

Have post-secondary education, preferably an academic degree and pedagogical education. Folk high school teacher training and the ability to support participants in mathematics education are advantageous. You have experience in administrative work, preferably within education. Have a good understanding of CSN and the study support system. Are structured, meticulous, and confident in working in various administrative systems. Have a genuine interest in people and thrive in a supportive role. Have knowledge of or experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders. Experience of work within folk high schools and knowledge of the mission and regulations of adult education.
