Description

We are looking for someone interested in developing our dining areas, kitchen, and events.

Åmål City Hotel is located right in central Åmål, just 100 meters from the shores of Lake Vänern. The restaurant seats 110 guests indoors, plus 100 on the outdoor terrace, where we serve breakfast daily, a lunch buffet focusing on traditional Swedish cuisine, and à la carte dishes. The hotel also has a beautiful banquet hall with space for 110 guests and conference facilities. We organize many of our own events as well as in collaboration with local partners.

Here, you will work in premises where service and events have been held since the turn of the century.

We place great value on the hotel's history but always strive to evolve.

We are now seeking a restaurant manager with a passionate interest in the combination of food and drink.

The job duties include, in addition to working in operations, actively working on upselling and reviewing and developing our events and offerings in the bar and dining area.


The position involves:

  • Overall responsibility for the operations of our dining areas, kitchen, and events in close collaboration with the booking department.
  • Being the driving force in the daily operational work of the restaurant.
  • Setting frameworks for the development of the restaurant's concept and customer experience, as well as building a strong team.
  • Responsibility for service and quality of finished products from the kitchen.
  • Creating and maintaining clear routines and instructions, as well as training staff.
  • Purchasing and inventory management.
  • Maintaining safe working conditions and ensuring that all food safety procedures are followed.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within the restaurant industry (preferably at least 2 years)
  • Knowledge of service etiquette, beverages, and wines
  • Stress-tolerant and solution-oriented
  • Good ability to lead and motivate staff
  • Driven by sales and customer service


Other information:

  • Full-time position with varying work hours during day/evening/weekends.
  • Salary and start date according to agreement.
  • Housing may be available.
