Description

We are a newly started entrepreneur-driven company within import and trade of meat products (beef, lamb, chicken, and other proteins) with a focus on the Scandinavian market. The business has established itself in a short time with significant transaction volumes and is in a clear growth phase. Our goal is to achieve a turnover of 200 million by 2026.

We are now seeking an operational economist who wants to take overall responsibility for our finances – while being part of a company where you get to help build structure and work methods from the ground up.

About the role

This is a broad and practical role where you are responsible for the ongoing finances, while supporting the business administratively as needed.

Your main tasks:

  • Ongoing bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • VAT and Intrastat reporting
  • Monthly closings and support for annual closings (in collaboration with an external agency)
  • Contact with auditor and external parties
  • Management of supplier and customer receivables
  • In the future: payroll management

Other tasks:

  • Support order administration
  • General administration and reporting
  • Contact with international suppliers and customers (English spoken and written)

We work in Fortnox and currently have support from an external accounting agency for payroll and closings.

About you

We are seeking someone who is self-sufficient, meticulous, and enjoys a broad role in a smaller and fast-paced company.

We believe you have:

  • Several years of experience in accounting
  • Ability to work independently with bookkeeping and simpler closings
  • Good understanding of VAT and preferably experience in international trade where currency has been part of the work tasks
  • System proficiency (preferably Fortnox, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you have worked in a smaller company before and are accustomed to handling various types of tasks.

About the role and development opportunities

The role is currently a combination of finance and administrative tasks, but will develop in line with the company's growth. You will have significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence how the finance function is built forward.

During your initial period, you will receive support and handover from the current responsible finance function.

You will report to CEO Joel Dahlin.
