Experienced Project Engineer for Infrastructure Projects (Gothenburg)

We are seeking a highly experienced and independent project engineer for a long-term assignment within major infrastructure projects. The role involves becoming a central part of the project organization and working closely with project managers with responsibility for planning, managing, and monitoring projects in the road and civil engineering sector.

This is an assignment for you who are confident in your role, have high system proficiency, and can take significant personal responsibility in complex project environments with a fast pace.

About the Role

As a project engineer, you work operationally in projects and serve as support to project managers throughout the entire project lifecycle. You drive and prepare issues for decisions, ensure structure in project implementation, and contribute to efficient delivery.

The work includes, among other things:

• Support in project management and coordination
• Time planning and monitoring
• Financial management, forecasts, and budgeting
• Risk management and monitoring
• Quality and requirement work
• Procurement and preparation of documentation
• Administrative support, documentation, and reporting

You will also serve as a sounding board and support to other project engineers in the organization.

Workplace and Work Methods

• Location: Gothenburg
• The work is primarily on-site at the client's location, full-time (5 days/week)
• Remote work may occur to a limited extent by agreement
• Business travel may occur

Mandatory Requirements

To be considered for the assignment, you must meet all the requirements below:

• University or college education of at least 180 credits in engineering, economics, or civil engineering, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years of experience (within the last 8 years) working as a project engineer in infrastructure projects (road or railway)
• At least 2 years of consecutive experience within the above period
• Experience working with at least 50% allocation during the relevant period
• Documented experience of independently working with cost estimation & budget, time planning, and risk management.
• Experience working with relevant project and support systems (e.g., project portals, planning tools, and risk systems)
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Very good knowledge of the Office package
• Class B driver's license
