Measurement Technician for Motala Workshop

About the Position

We at Jobcenter Östergötland are now seeking an experienced measurement technician with expert competence in blueprint reading and interpretation for an exciting role at Motala Workshop.

In this role, you work closely with production, quality functions, and design with a clear responsibility for driving measurement-related issues throughout the entire manufacturing process.

This position is a consulting assignment that begins with a 6-month fixed-term employment, which may then become a permanent position if both parties are satisfied with each other.

The position is during daytime hours.

Job Description of Your Tasks

· Drive measurement-related issues during quote requests (RFQ) and order reviews

· Provide support in blueprint reading during manufacturing

· Train staff in blueprint theory as well as form and position tolerances

· Further train inspectors in the use of measuring machines and measuring arms

· Offline programming of measuring machines and measuring arms

· Participate in the development of measurement protocols

· Conduct measurements with measuring arms and measuring machines

· Actively participate in continuous improvements

· Contribute to efficient resource utilization of energy and raw materials

· You have the authority to stop production or delivery in case of quality deviations.

We Are Looking for You Who

Have expert competence in blueprint reading and interpretation, and are comfortable working with advanced measuring equipment such as measuring machines and measuring arms.

You have experience programming measuring equipment offline and are accustomed to working with high precision in technically demanding environments.

You are communicative, pedagogical, and find it easy to explain technical contexts to others.

Of course, you are proficient in Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is advantageous if you have previous experience in training or mentoring colleagues, as well as if you have worked in heavy or advanced industry.
