About Västerbo HVB

Västerbo HVB consists of Jöns HVB, Slottsparken HVB, and Agnes HVB. We accept boys and girls, aged 15–20, who have been in unsuitable environments, have committed isolated offenses, tried drugs, and may exhibit acting-out behavior. Our youth struggle with psychosocial issues, relationship difficulties, mental health problems, low self-esteem, and emotional imbalance.

The facility is staffed around the clock, and the treatment work is based on a salutogenic approach and motivational work, focusing on strengthening protective factors, TMO, and low-affect intervention. We actively work with the youth's network and place great importance on ensuring that placed youth have meaningful activities, either in school or internships.

Västerbo HVB also has access to Västerbo's cross-professional treatment team. The team consists of a psychiatrist, trauma-specialized psychologists, an occupational therapist, and a CBT therapist/social worker. Our goal is for the youth, during the treatment period, to develop into an independent, secure, and responsible individual.

About the role

As a temporary substitute and treatment assistant at Västerbo HVB, you will:

• Work closely with the youth and support them in their daily lives, school/activities, and leisure time
• Create and maintain a safe and stable environment through relationship-building and clear boundaries
• Use evidence-based methods in daily work
• Collaborate in a team with colleagues and the cross-professional treatment team
• Document and work based on implementation plans and individual needs
• Work at various times throughout the day and night. This involves work at all hours with on-call sleeping duties.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have:

• Post-secondary education, at least two years, in social pedagogy, behavioral science, pedagogy, or other equivalent education (vocational college or university). This is a requirement.
• Experience working as a treatment assistant/social educator in HVB, institutional care, or similar operations
• Experience with KSL and A-CRA is meritorious
• Good documentation habits and experience in social work
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• B driver's license (requirement)
