Family Unit Sweden is seeking emergency foster homes and foster families in the Stockholm area

We are looking for committed emergency foster and foster families who want to open their homes to children and youth aged 0–14 years.

We have a particular need in northern and central Stockholm – for example Solna, Danderyd, Täby, Sollentuna, Sundbyberg, and the inner city. Even if you live outside these areas, you are warmly welcome to get in touch.

Both new and experienced families are welcome. No formal education is required; the most important things are commitment, stability, and the desire to make a difference. It is advantageous to have experience with children and youth with neurodevelopmental disorder diagnoses.

The assignment involves receiving children or youth in your home, providing care, security, and structure in daily life, and being a stable adult support. The assignment is carried out in close collaboration with emergency foster and foster home consultants and social services.

You need to be able to provide extracts from:

• Suspicion and criminal records from the Police
• Debt-free certificate from the Enforcement Authority
• Certificate from the Social Insurance Agency
• Social register from the population registration municipality

The compensation consists of a fee and expense allowance and is determined before each assignment.

Family Unit Sweden works with qualified emergency foster and foster care as well as open care with a special focus on Greater Stockholm, but also takes assignments in other parts of the country. The operation has long experience in social work and treatment work. Family Unit Sweden focuses on the child's strengths, resources, and development.
