School Counselor for Central Student Health Team - Work at Schools in Dalarna

Olympica is now seeking an engaged counselor who wants to work in our central student health team with a clear focus on promoting and preventive student health work.

Olympica runs schools with a holistic view on learning where knowledge, safety, and health are interconnected. Our values are based on ensuring that every student gets the conditions to develop as far as possible, both academically and socially, in a safe and inclusive environment.

The position is distributed among Olympica's elementary schools in Hedemora F–6, Ludvika (Håksberg) F–6, and Leksand (Excel) F–9. You will be an important part of a collective student health effort where collaboration, quality, and the student's best interests always are in focus.

About the role

As a counselor with us, you primarily work in a promoting and preventive manner to strengthen students' mental health and create safe, inclusive learning environments. You contribute to developing structures and working methods that benefit all students.

You are part of a central student health team together with other professions where you collectively drive and develop the preventive student health work. The work also includes remedial interventions as needed.

You collaborate closely with school management, educators, and guardians, guide staff, and participate in student health meetings. The work occurs at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

We are looking for you who

• have a degree in social work or equivalent education
• have experience working with children and youth, preferably in a school setting
• have a strong interest in promoting and preventive work
• are confident in your professional role and have good collaboration skills
• work in a structured and independent manner while valuing teamwork
