International English School (IES) Uppsala is a grades 4-9 school with approximately 750 students and 80 employees. The school has a bilingual focus, Swedish and English, where parts of the instruction in math, science, English, and some aesthetic subjects are conducted in English.
We are now seeking two certified compulsory school teachers for grades 4-6 with a subject qualification and certification in Swedish/Social Studies.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct, and develop lessons
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate documentation
- Mentorship for students in one of the classes you teach
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the school community
Who are you?
- You have a teaching degree with qualification and certification in Swedish and Social Studies for grades 4-6
- You can express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
- You plan, conduct, and evaluate instruction and work to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- You are a team player and value collaboration within your work teams and enjoy working with people in an international school setting.
- You take responsibility for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on students' knowledge development.
- You take own initiatives and have clear leadership in the classroom.
- You are clear and precise in your communication and have the ability to motivate and inspire students to acquire new knowledge.
- You have good knowledge of ICT as a pedagogical tool.
- You are passionate about development and a collegial working approach.
We place great importance on personal suitability and assume you have a genuine interest in children and youth. The positions are temporary, full-time, one for the autumn term 2026, and one for the school year 2026/27. Salary according to agreement, collective agreement exists.
