About the position

We are seeking two dedicated and service-oriented service hosts for a summer assignment at Bergs locks.

The assignment is carried out by EXISO AB in collaboration with Göta Kanalbolaget and involves working in one of Sweden's most visited tourist environments.

The position entails a rotating schedule where you work 3–4 days per week and every other weekend. Work shifts are from 11:00–18:00 (7 hours including a 30-minute break). Scope: approximately 58% (according to schedule)

You work according to a fixed schedule, which provides a good balance between work and leisure.

What does the role of service host involve?

As a service host, you are an important part of the visitors' experience and actively work with hospitality and service. The role means you are visible, accessible, and communicative when meeting guests.

You will, among other things:

• Welcome and meet visitors in a professional and pleasant manner
• Actively communicate with guests, for example:
• Ask if they are finding their way
• Ensure they are comfortable and receive the help they need
• Answer questions about the area and service offerings
• Assist if they are looking for restaurants, facilities, or other experiences
• Contribute to a positive overall experience for visitors

In addition to hospitality, the role includes simpler service tasks:

• Pick up litter in the pavilion and nearby area, sort waste, carry trash
• Wipe down tables and surfaces
• Cleaning of hygiene facilities (pavilion and guest harbor buildings)

We are looking for you who:

• Have a genuine interest in service, hospitality, and meeting people
• Are communicative, social, and enjoy a role where you make contact with guests
• Are responsible, self-sufficient, and solution-oriented
• Can communicate fluently in Swedish and English (advantageous if you speak multiple languages)

Requirements

• You can get to the workplace at Bergs locks
• You are flexible and can step in and cover extra shifts if needed

Meritorious

• Experience from service, tourism, retail, or customer contact
• Local knowledge of the area
