IT Technician for VFG Education (including IT & telephony)

About the position

As an IT technician with us, you have a central role in ensuring that our IT and telephony environment functions smoothly in daily operations. You work closely with the organization and provide support to students, participants, and employees. The position involves varied tasks where you handle daily issues and contribute to the long-term development of our technical solutions.

We operate in Växjö, Jönköping, and Karlshamn, which means travel between these locations occurs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and service within IT and telephony to students, participants, and staff
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, networks, telephony systems, and peripheral equipment
• Manage user accounts, permissions, as well as subscriptions and connections
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, both on-site and remotely
• Participate in the development and improvement of the IT and telephony environment
• Document procedures and solutions

Qualifications

• High school or post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience
• Experience in IT support and troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of networks, client management, and Microsoft environments
• Class B driver's license (required)
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious

• Experience working in a school environment
• Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365)
• Experience with ticketing systems
• Experience with switchboard systems or mobile telephony in organizations
