Midwife for Delivery Ward

We are looking for an experienced midwife for a delivery ward at a large hospital in Sweden.

The operation has an established working method with clear routines and an experienced team, where the focus is on safe and secure care throughout the childbirth process.

The position suits you who want to work in a stable environment with good structure and opportunity for continuity in the work.

Work Tasks

As a midwife on the delivery ward, you are responsible for:

• Independent management of normal deliveries
• Monitoring of mother and child during childbirth
• Identification and initial management of deviations
• Support and guidance to the birthing person and relatives
• Collaboration with doctors, assistant nurses, and other team members
• Documentation according to current guidelines

Work Environment

You work in a team with experienced colleagues where:

• Patient safety and quality are central parts of the work
• Communication and collaboration are prioritized in daily work

Introduction is provided based on your experience to ensure a secure start.

Scope and Setup

• Scope: Full-time or part-time
• Working hours: Day, evening, and night according to schedule

Qualifications

• Licensed midwife
• Experience of work on a delivery ward
• Ability to work independently in acute and varying situations
