Piano teacher with classical training
Description
Classically trained piano teacher for private music school
Our private music school in Lund with approximately 600 students is run by professional musicians and creative educators. We have high ambitions to provide students with a genuine music education. Our teaching team works with clear plans to guide each student to independent musicianship from the very beginning. Already in beginner instruction, doors open for all development. We teach a wide range of individual subjects, music theory, ensemble, short courses, and we offer occasional workshops. As a teacher with us, you need to enjoy planning based on a shared structure, collaborating, and contributing your own initiatives.
We teach students with Lund and Staffanstorp music vouchers as well as private students of all ages. Our profile is classical and international - modern teaching that rests on solid knowledge.
We are now seeking a piano teacher for at least two and up to four teaching days per teaching week for our lines with continuous courses for children and youth as well as adults with punch cards.
We are looking for you who have education from a music college or similar qualifications from a classical music education. You have come some way in your career and have a plan for how you want to structure your life portfolio. Your own playing is at a good level so you can demonstrate for students at different levels. The school provides a large sheet music library and we desire breadth in your teaching repertoire. The right piece for the right student at the right time. All piano teaching with us also includes some ear training.
Your main focus is classical/all-round. You are accustomed to planning your work, both short-term and with longer perspectives, and you can develop individual development plans. You enjoy inspiring piano students to chamber music and ensemble playing, preferably with one of our many student concerts as a goal.
Language: LIMUS is an international music school. Our everyday language is Swedish, which you need to speak and understand fluently. If you are new to Sweden, you need to have at least a Swedish B1 test or equivalent knowledge. In addition to Swedish, it is an advantage if you can teach in English. You will work in a creative team with highly competent teachers where you get space for your own ideas and encounter a well-structured workplace.
Teaching on weekdays usually starts around 14:30 and on holidays around 9:00. For the position, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday are relevant. You should be able to work at least two of these days. We help you with scheduling and are always available. As a new employee, you get a mentor who helps you get into all routines. You teach in our own teaching rooms in Lund with very good equipment (including 4 grand pianos) and possibly in Hjärup and Torna Hällestad.
Many of our teachers are active freelance musicians, which we see as an asset. We offer some flexibility, but prefer that the schedule of teaching weeks that applies to all students is followed (14 teaching weeks per term). Our economy does not allow attractive positions like at municipal culture schools. But we have high security in our student base. You are employed with hourly fees and guaranteed a certain teaching volume. Even payments 10 months per year. We offer our employees individual occupational pension and individual salary setting. Work outside of teaching, such as student concerts and projects, is paid extra.
Warm welcome with your application!
