Stage Technician for Örebro Concert Hall – 50%

As a stage technician at Örebro Concert Hall, you will work with technical support during rehearsals, concert and meeting activities, stage setup for orchestra productions, and maintenance of stage technical equipment. You will work closely with musicians, technicians, and production staff, and you will also contribute to strategic planning and development of technical operations.

You will be part of the technical department and report to the stage manager.

The basic position is 50%. If you have special expertise in areas such as lighting technology, sound technology, or AV technology, there may be opportunities to expand the scope of the position.

We are looking for someone who is practical, enjoys working in a team and with physical work. You have good service skills and collaboration abilities and understand that your work enables other staff to do a good job, and for audiences and guests to have a great experience. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and remain calm even under time pressure. You can work irregular hours as needed.

We prefer that you are described by others as practical with a natural ability to solve logistical challenges.

Requirements for the position:

• At least 3 years of work experience in stage work

• Class B driver's license

• Basic knowledge in stage technical work

• Physical ability for practical stage work

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritous

• Technical knowledge in sound, lighting, or stage technology

• Experience with orchestra productions

• Training in electrical safety and rigging

• Experience with touring activities

• Driver's license BE

Employment Conditions

The employment is permanent with a start date as agreed.

Working hours are irregular and may include evenings and weekends. Compensation for inconvenient working hours is included in the monthly salary.

Länsmusiken i Örebro AB is a subsidiary in Örebro Municipality's group, Örebro Rådhus. Operations are based at Örebro Concert Hall, where the Swedish Chamber Orchestra has its home and serves as the flagship. The concert hall is part of the Cultural Quarter in Örebro – a place for community life and independent actors with activities such as a library, cultural school, art gallery, aesthetic program, and professional concert operations.
