Agricultural Economist

We are looking for an agricultural economist who wants to contribute to strengthening the development of agriculture in Jämtland and northern Sweden. The role involves working in an advisory capacity towards our clients, agricultural businesses, producers, and actors in the green industries, with a focus on profitability, business development, and long-term sustainable decisions.

Your tasks

You will support entrepreneurs with financial analyses, calculations, investment assessments, business management, and strategic choices. The position also includes advice related to support and applications within the framework of agricultural policy, such as SAM applications, investment support, and environmental compensation.

As an agricultural economist, you will work closely with our crop cultivation and production advisors to offer holistic advice where the customer's needs are always central. You will become an important part of our team and a key person in our work to strengthen both competitiveness and sustainability for the county's agricultural businesses.

We are looking for you who

• Have a higher education degree in agronomy, farm management, business economics, or equivalent and have experience in financial work, advisory, or business development within agriculture or related industries.

• Are interested in participating in and contributing to the knowledge exchange of the Household Society through workshops, customer meetings, and other meeting places.

• Can collaborate closely with colleagues in advisory, projects, and skills development to offer comprehensive solutions and find synergies within the operations.

• Have good ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, authorities, and cooperation partners in the region.

• Enjoy taking own initiatives, are structured, and proactive.

The work involves travel primarily within Jämtland, with opportunities for assignments in northern Sweden. Access to a personal car and a B driver's license is required.
