Animal Caretaker for Dairy Farm

Lilla Lunda is a dairy farm located outside Vingåker, surrounded by beautiful nature, friendly people, and close proximity to services. We who run the farm are Andreas and Magnus and have been operating it since 2020. Our driving force is to find new solutions and constantly improve, with the goal of being at the forefront.

The farm has approximately 240 animals, (dairy cows and replacements). We cultivate about 280 hectares of arable land, where we grow both roughage and grain. The cows are milked with 2 robots in a modern barn with loose housing.

We who run and work on the farm are an engaged and creative team with many fun projects. For us, the animals are the focus, and it is important that they are as well as possible. But we also care about being a pleasant workplace and that we can be proud of the work we do together with the animals and in crop cultivation.

Now we are looking for you who want to work as an animal caretaker. The work includes all tasks related to animal care, for example, taking care of the dairy cows, caring for calves, animal supervision on pasture, and the daily hygiene routines. This position is primarily aimed at work as an animal caretaker, but for applicants with an interest in feed production, there is also the opportunity to participate in this production periodically during the year. Since we see it as an important part to give you the opportunity to develop in the workplace, we can also offer various types of courses, such as semen handling courses and sprayer certification.

We also view positively hiring you who are completing an agriculture-oriented natural resource education this summer, so do not hesitate to submit an application even if you have a few months left of your education.

What we are looking for in you is a positive basic attitude, that you want to contribute to good cooperation in the group, and that you have a desire to develop. We view positively if you have previous experience or education in agriculture, we are looking for the right person to develop our operation together with.

The scope of the position is primarily full-time, but adjustments can be made, weekend work is included.

Start date according to agreement.

The position is a full-time employment, with an initial probationary period.
