Computational Engineer (Structural Analysis)

As a computational engineer in structural analysis, you will be part of teams working on calculations and analyses. The work area will span most disciplines within structural analysis. The tasks involve working from requirement specification to verification of finished products. You will work independently but must interact creatively and constructively with design and production in various development projects running in parallel.

The computational work includes static and dynamic strength calculations. Software used includes Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, and Hypermesh. Within the section, various research and technology development projects are also conducted and led.

-The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current security regulations. For positions requiring security classification, in some cases, this may entail requirements for specific citizenship.

-Business trips occur, a driver's license is not required but advantageous.

Requirements

-Master of Science (MSc) or PhD with a preference in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or engineering physics, with a focus on structural analysis.

-At least 1 year of experience in similar tasks

-Good understanding of fundamental continuum mechanics, good experience with implicit and explicit strength calculations using FEM and the above-mentioned software.

-You have experience working cross-disciplinarily, have good pedagogical skills, and also an ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in parallel.

-You have experience participating in product development programs, product development processes

-You express yourself well verbally and in writing, in both Swedish and English.

-Business trips occur, a driver's license is not required but advantageous.

-High social competence and are both self-sufficient, driven, and meticulous in your work. You have an analytical approach and are driven in your work. You take own initiative and responsibility and can work both independently and in a group.
